Leominster Crime Stoppers, Inc. was established in 2008 in response to a strategic plan Mayor Dean J. Mazzarella developed to improve the quality of life and safety in our city.

 

The City of Leominster is dedicated and committed to providing a safe and healthy community.  The Leominster Crime Stoppers organization will enable the citizens of Leominster to become more involved in keeping our schools, neighborhoods, and businesses safe.  This program will allow individuals to directly report crimes into a secure system with anonymity. The local police will then respond to the reports that have been recorded.  Specific rewards will be granted for tips leading to arrest or conviction based on a set monetary schedule determined by Crime Stoppers.

 

Crime Stoppers is comprised of diverse, active and dedicated community representatives. Crime Stoppers provides a method for local law enforcement to receive information on crimes. These efforts increase tips, which in turn increase arrests in our community.

Purpose:

1.        Support the Leominster community to increase public safety while decreasing crimes within neighborhoods, businesses, and school environments.

2.        Provide crime prevention education, awareness to community members, students, and businesses.

3.        Work collaboratively with the Leominster Law Enforcement to effectively facilitate Crime Stoppers and execute its’ functions.

4.        Raise funds to pay rewards to those citizens who’s tips have lead to arrests/convictions as set forth by Crime Stoppers
